Maharashtra is in the forefront of industrial development in India. The Government of Maharashtra, invites sealed Bids on BOOT (Build, Own, Operate and Transfer) basis for establishing a modern all-weather multi-user port at a green field site at Alewadi, which is strategically located near Tarapur, a premier industrial township, 65 nautical miles to the north of Mumbai(formerly Bombay), the financial capital of India, to meet growing demands of trade,industry and commerce.
